Leveling the Playing Field for Wisconsin's Nonprofit Community: Skills-Based Volunteering with Catchafire
As nonprofits in our community are consistently asked to dig deeper and do more with less, there have been few places for nonprofit teams to turn to for help. Recognizing this, grantmakers in Milwaukee joined together to provide their nonprofit community with access to Catchafire, the world’s largest network of skills-based volunteers that are passionate about giving back. Over the past year, 225 nonprofits across Milwaukee have been able to satisfy their organizational needs, ranging from web design, to financial planning, to leadership coaching, efficiently and effectively with the assistance of volunteer professionals through Catchafire. Join your colleagues from the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, the Zilber Family Foundation, and Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin as we engage in a conversation around providing equitable access to resources for our communities and hear firsthand from nonprofit leaders on how it has made a difference in the impactful work they do in their communities.
