Interdisciplinary Artist and educator Bayeté Ross Smith will discuss examples of art and media projects that directly engaged audiences within their daily lived experiences utilizing multi platform storytelling and discuss how art and media can be critically important tools for advocacy, education and social change. Additionally Bayeté will examine ways in which funders can properly support visual artists who create socially engaged work that emphasizes issues related to Human Rights and how to help them make sure their work is accessible to a broad range of people in various fields and lifestyles.
