About the Milwaukee Nonprofit Needs Study
In mid-2019, Project Pivot launched a study to determine the needs of Milwaukee-area nonprofits and to develop recommendations for how those needs could be met. The study grew out of concern over the impact of the loss of the Nonprofit Center and Wisconsin Nonprofits Association and interest in determining the best ways to support non-profits in Milwaukee. The study, supported by Bader Philanthropies and Northwestern Mutual Foundation, included a large-scale survey of Milwaukee-area nonprofits conducted by UWM, a scan of services already supporting nonprofits and exploration of nonprofit support models in other geographic areas. The next step is to engage key stakeholder groups in reviewing and discussing study findings. We would like to offer an opportunity for Milwaukee-area funders to learn about study results and offer their views.
