Grantmaking Fundamentals
This series is designed to help those who are new to philanthropy or those wanting to update their skills and knowledge on current best practices in the sector. By digging into grantmaking fundamentals and current trends, participants will gain the working knowledge they need to understand and navigate the field of philanthropy.
This interactive course provides a historical overview of the sector, reviews foundation leadership and governance, provides an overview of grantmaking, debates current issues in philanthropy, and explores the various roles within different foundation types. Grantmaking Fundamentals takes place over five sessions and is open to staff in any position at a grantmaking organization.
