Session Description: This roundtable discussion will focus on exploring resources funders are using to both (1) listen to the views, perspectives, and opinions of the communities and people they seek to serve and (2) to be responsive to what they’ve heard in their work. Listening can take many forms but regardless of approach, true listening has the potential to:
WPN will share a brief overview of the wide variety of ways foundations listen across contexts. Then, participants will be invited to engage in open discussion on resources, experiences, tensions, and best practices from their own work. We’ll encourage resource sharing throughout this session – if you have concrete resources to share from your own work, please bring them along!
