Stevens Point, Wisconsin (October 21, 2019) – The Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin (CFCWI) recently awarded $254,950 in grants to 54 programs that help enrich the quality of life throughout Central Wisconsin.
“The Foundation’s grants process is truly the heart of what we do,” said Erin Andrews, Executive Director for the CFCWI. “Together with our generous supporters, the Foundation is able to invest in a wide variety of innovative programs that enrich our communities.”
In an effort to provide more funding opportunities for area nonprofits, CFCWI’s Board of Directors recently approved new approaches to funding programs in Central Wisconsin. Beginning in spring 2020, CFCWI will accept RFP’s for major/capital campaign projects in Portage and Waushara Counties. Additionally, CFCWI will expand the Community Grants process to two grant cycles per year, giving local nonprofits the opportunity to apply for grants in July or January.
“As the Community Foundation strives to better serve Central Wisconsin, we felt it was time to explore new approaches to funding community initiatives,” said Jim Robinson, President of the Board of Directors for CFCWI. “We are excited to offer additional funding opportunities and provide nonprofits more options and flexibility in the coming year.”
