WPN Announces New Board Member Erin Frederick

MILWAUKEE, June 1, 2015 – Wisconsin Philanthropy Network (WPN) announced a new member to its Board of Directors, elected by the organization’s membership at WPN’s Annual Meeting on May 19, 2015. Joining the WPN Board of Directors is Erin Frederick, Senior Program Officer for the Zilber Family Foundation in Milwaukee.

According to Jill Van Calster, President and CEO, “Erin brings a fresh perspective, talent, and energy to WPN. We are very fortunate to have her and the Zilber Family Foundation as our partners as we continue to strengthen philanthropy in Wisconsin.”

With her expertise and experience, Erin will work closely with WPN's board of directors to help deliver greater value and benefits to WPN's growing membership – this year alone more than 14 new members have joined.

About Erin Frederick

As a Senior Program Officer for the Zilber Family Foundation, Erin helps develop grant recommendations, provides technical assistance, and creates leadership opportunities to support the implementation of five-year plans focused on improving neighborhood conditions and increasing residents’ access to social and economic opportunities.

Prior to joining the Zilber Family Foundation in 2010, Erin served as the director of a program at the Medical College of Wisconsin that funded projects to improve public health in Wisconsin. Over the course of 10 years, Erin also held leadership positions in communications and fund development at nonprofit organizations in Milwaukee. At Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, she was responsible for developing and implementing statewide strategic public and community relations plans for various programs. While working for La Causa, Erin helped build the development department and coordinate a successful multi-million dollar capital campaign.

Erin has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Spanish from Miami University and will complete a Master’s of Science degree in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in December 2015. She lives in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, with her husband and three children.
