Wispact Foundation Provides $637,330 to Wisconsin Non-Profits

MADISON, WI. (December 15, 2022) — In only its second year of supporting Wisconsin non-profits through its Legacy Grant Program, the Wispact Foundation will distribute $637,330 to 75 organizations. This is an increase of over 275% in funds provided over 2021.

Wispact Legacy Grants range from $3,000 to $10,000 and will support disabled people in Wisconsin with housing, assistive devices, transportation, education and recreation. The communities supported are located across the state from Racine to Washington Island, Eau Claire and as far north as Hayward. The organizations who received grants represent a variety of urban and rural settings across the state.

The Wispact Foundation was established in 2021 to create more opportunities to improve the lives of persons with disabilities across Wisconsin. The Wispact Legacy Grant Program was established by Wispact Inc. and is managed by the Greater Milwaukee Foundation.

The long-term goal for the Foundation is to distribute $1M annually to the community of non-profit disability service organizations.

The Wispact Foundation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Wispact, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of persons with disabilities through pooled and community special needs trusts (SNT). Wispact was created in 2003 and is now one of the largest of its kind in the United States; we currently serve more than 4,000 beneficiaries throughout Wisconsin.
